I need you to help me keep this site alive and fresh. Here are some ideas on how you can help me:
Manage the site: This may sound scary, but it is actually very simple. I am using a Content Management System (CMS) called Joomla! This is a very cool piece of open source software. The core package is available for free. I am not kidding, what you see on the World Class Soaring web site is built from scratch and completely for free! There are some neat commercial ($) plug ins available that would make certain parts of the web site even more appealing, such as a calendar etc. but for now it will do. So, if you know Joomla!, help me out as an administrator. If you would like to learn about Joomla!, this is your chance, I will teach you with hands on experience to run and manage this or any Joomla! website. Content: This is simple. Provide me with content. Pick a topic from the main menu, write something about it and publish it on this website. If you have pictures, great! Let's upload them and put them in the image gallery. About pictures, I have one request. Make sure your pictures have some sort of a caption on it, just so any one looking at them know where they are taken. (I know, right now the pictures posted in the gallery have no caption, but that is because the plug in I used, free ware, does not provide the option to enter a caption.) - Or you may publish the article yourself! This is the preferred way and it is very simple. All you need to do is to subscribe to the web site. Go to the Contributor Log In part on the home page on the left side and create an account. Once your account is set up, I will upgrade your status to Publisher and you are now free to publish your works.
